winding your own pickups

    :bassist: i was wondering if someone could give me some instructions and hints on winding or whatever my own pickups. thanks :help:

    FWIW:

    I'd suggest a TB search for "windng pickups" and contact those that look to be still involved. The question's been coming up almost weekly. I know there's at least one TB'r doing it now. Just getting hold of wire in small (5 lb's) quantities is not that easy or cheap. Even those not still doing it will be useful contacts to give perspective on what's invovled. Winding a pup yourself is a formidable project.
