    Silly me. I've never seen this bass before... first I'm like...whyd he chop off the first octave of the bass in his pic? Then I googled it and I'm like, oh that's pretty cool.

    17 frets - NICE! I have an arpeggione with only 15 frets :D
    What is the nut width on that? And are those regular strings cut off and clamped, or some kind of custom double ball end?

    I would need to get back to you on the nut width but I do know that the bass takes regular strings and not custom double ball end. I know that there is a Wing Bass club on TB that answers a lot questions. Cheers!

    Technically, you don’t have a nut since we use a zero fret. The string guide that looks like a nut is approximately 3” wide.
