Wiring 1 single coil bass pickup...HELP!

    I'm in the process of wiring in my bass project. I have one single coil pickup and need to find out how to wire it to 1 vol. and 1 tone control. The pickup has 3 wires, red, white and blue. I'm probably going to replace the potentiometers. What should I get for the the tone one? The volume one?

    If anyone knows where I can find the schematics let me know.

    What brand is the pickup? Is it an active pickup? Does it also have a ground/sheild wire in addition to the three wires you list below?

    Typically, single coil passive pickups use a 250K pot, while double coil or humbucking passive pickups use a 500K pot.

    It would help if I knew the brand of the pickup you have, or contact the mfg of the pickup to see if they have schematics for it.

    Sounds active :oops: Red and white are probably the hot and ground, blue goes to battery (I guess). If you have an ohm meter, test the red and white and see if you get a circuit.
