I've built a few FX before, based of schematics online with a few mods, however my question is this: How can I add a blend knob so that I can blend my original signal w/ the effected one? Do I wire it like this (sorry, not sure how to do this, but top is T , bottom is B and connections are seperated by : )

    GRND : ORIGINAL : TO "LEVEL" & B1
    FROM T3 : EFFECTED : GROUND

Is this is right, let me know however if I totally missed the boat, please correct me.

A blend knob isn't just a volume pot.
It's actually 2 stacked volume potted wired backwards.
So schematics are a bit more complicated.
I'm pretty sure somebody's got schematics ready for you and will post them. :)

Basically, Jazz Ad told all you have to know. 2 pots wired backward.

Let's say input 1, input 2, output, and ground.

Input 1 goes to a wiper, input 2 to the other. output goes to a extreme connector and the opposite on the second pot. Ground goes to the 2 remainings. It makes a cross.

Replace the pickups by the 2 inputs, the jack by the output. There you have.

The output level, control or volume. Wouldn't that be where it would go to? Or maybe not. :meh:

Well I think you should wire the blend before the volume pot. Because the blend would else be done between a normal volume dry and a full boost effected.

Yep on my octave-up pedal I'm adding volume and blend, blend first. Thanks basstyra

  10. It's just one of those "I can't beleive no one makes these" things. It's virtually a must have for any bassist using effects.

    You're a legend Charlie!

  12. Hey, Unchain! DIY, man! I could hook you up. But, If you're looking at building a Green Ringer, a ParaLooper should be a piece of cake for you.
