I just got a pair of Carvin jazz pups in the mail. They are going into a 5 sting sx, and I was going to use the standard fender jazz wiring pattern.

Will that work? Should I use 500k instead of 250 pots?, and what kind of cap should I use?

just use the standard jazz wiring and you'll be fine

edit: either 250K or 500K pots will work fine, assuming the pickups are passive. 500k pots will retain a little more of the highs than 250K, just a matter of personal preference (standard s/c jazz bass is wired with 250K pots)

    Thanks,
I'll just try then with the origional pots (I assume they are 250k) and see how it works.
