What do you think of this P bass wiring harness? I found it in a grab bag from the classifieds. Where would you attach the hot lead from the pickup?

  2. Looks fine.

The pickup goes to the first terminal on the volume pot.

What did you pay for? A stick with 2 holes and a 1/4" plug? If I may ask, how much???
Underpants gnomes (I mean Inquiring Minds) want to know.

  5. It's worth about $12-15. Plus whatever labor to solder it.

Ahhhhh....I misunderstood the original post. Doh!
I was thinking "jig"; the wooden block. Something to hold the bits together while soldering.
I wasn't thinking of the pots and such.
    Oops......
There goes my plans of selling a "bass jig" and making lots of money.
    Fail.

The legs on the cap are longer than I would leave them, but that's personal preference for when I'm soldering:p I like to have stable parts that have little chance to get bumped during installation since my solder connections are notoriously weak for ground on the back of pots haha.

That is the part that was confusing me.

LOL. You should see how I made my first wiring harness without the jig. I'm sure I could make you one just like it for under $20. :bag:
