Well, with thanks to Lyle, I managed to get my Charvel re-wired tonight, and it even seems to work on the first shot.

It is wired with two stacked concentric pots, each pot having a volume and tone control. There is one concentric pot for the neck pup, and one for the bridge, then an on/on toggle to switch between series and parallel.

When in series, this gives me a single master volume and tone (the neck pickup controls), and when in parallel, I can control each pickup's volume and tone individually.

That is a lot of options for two pots and a switch. If anyone wants, I can try to post a diagram.

i'd be interested in the diagram. i'm looking at options for my bass...
  3. That's a great idea... (don't need a diagram, I have a good idea how you did it)...nevertheless, a GREAT idea...

I just bought a push pull to do a series/parallel on my Yammy PJ...I can't wait to get it and wire her up... :hyper:
