  1. Ha, ha, I noticed that that photo was there after I posted it. I really liked that photo so decided that "little" modification would mean I could keep it. :roflmao:

You get a thumbs up for catching that detail Mike!

Finally had a band rehearsal tonight. The last time we played together was last September. Our rhythm guitarist is still waiting to get vaccinated and will join us (who are all vaccinated) as soon as he can. It was a lot of fun to play with people again. There was certainly some rust to knock off, and playing as a 3 piece was different, but overall it was a great time:) Here's a crappy pic from the drummer's basement: (For some reason I always make goofy faces in these types of pics)

So far, my week has gone well with the audition tomorrow I’m not sure what to expect
I have a good handle on the 5 tunes they want to do, but the music scene is harder to break into here than I thought it would be.
Most bands looking for a bass player have a lead singer, which is very strange to me as I never worked with a band where someone just sings.
That is so far out of my comfort zone I don’t know how to act?????

    Well
The audition is in the books. A great bunch of talented musicians and fun to be around. Like minded in what we would like this to be, get together once a month, play out 4-6 times a year. I was the 1st audition with a2nd in an hour after me.
    Waiting to hear their choice
    Have a great night

  12. The gig went well. We had a great time and they really liked us and want to do some more bookings.

  13. I've got to say that I love the tone that I'm getting out of that Aguilar rig and the Ibanez SR650E. No pedals or effects whatsoever and I'm getting a tasty growl that really bites through the mix no matter where I'm playing on the neck (I play the entire neck). I like to slap on occasion and I'm getting a great slap tone as well. I actually like the SR650E so much with the Nordstrand design pick ups that I'm thinking about upgrading to a higher model Ibanez with pickups actually made by Nordstrand instead of ones just designed by them.

  15. Well, we can't always get good shots of ourselves can we?

Good to hear you're getting back in the saddle and less rusty as a group Mike!
