So I once arranged Bach's Cello Suite 1 Prelude for the electric bass (raised it up a step and added a few things I think sounded pretty nice)... and that was really fun.

My new project: The Marriage of Figaro. I once played it with a local college band on trombone and was highly impressed with how excellent that piece sounds. I don't tap, but I figure that this (and a few other exersizes) is a good way to start. I'll be taking all of the important parts and mashing them together to get something tasteful. Has anyone else undertaken a project like this before? (of course I'm not the first, but I want to hear success/failure stories.)
