I just got Wishbass 1391, and I couldn't help but notice two holes in the body to the left and right filled with Elmer's wood putty. I'm not happy about that, but I can deal. My question is, how could I cover or fix this?
My wish has a few of those, but not noticeable unless Im looking for them. And it has a few on the headstock where it got marked for the tuning keys. But I've never tried to fill them. I think of them as beauty marks.. Ha.
The peculiar thing is that they look like pilot holes. They have to be at least 1/8". They're not just notches in the wood, they were drilled and in symmetrical positions on either side of the pickup, like something was supposed to go there. Like I said, I can deal with it, I'm just a little OCD. Beyond that, there isn't much else with this bass to fix or correct, and it sounds great.
Those are screw holes. It's where Wish attaches his pickup templates. They're on every Wishbass I've ever seen.
OCD + Wishbass; seems like a rough combination Could you post a picture? We would love to see the bass and the holes.
Honestly, it's not too bad actually. Just the holes and a buzz on the Bb of my A string and the E on my D string... And my OCD about my strings being too overwound, but that's my fault haha. I'll post a picture as soon as I can.
LMAO Grant, cut your price by about 90% and you could....LMAO. But I would guess your quality is more important to you
