You can figure out how many fret positions there are in on a wishbass by asking him how many nails he used.

Unfortunatly, you can't really use the nail to tell where those notes are...

the bidders look as bright too.
description says that the reserve and buy it now are the same - "first 400 bucks gets it"
yet, there are 4 bids and it's up to $56.55

  14. maybe they are trying to get the bids up to 399.99 so he has to pay for the auction and not sell anything :p

As the FORMER owner of 3 wishbasses, I can say that the claim is fair and true. the problem is, you can have one of the best sounding basses on the planet literally explode and break apart once the weather gets a little cold and the air a little dry. Happened to my "motley sam" 4 string the morning I went to the studio for a gig. I opened the gig bag and the bass was almost apart.

But in fairness, I recorded 3 tracks for an indie film with only the neck thru neck holding the bass together by a few seams, and the eginieers to this day still talk about how great the bass sounded.

For the record, the other 2 Wishbasses I wned did not have any major problems. I just got so freaked out by what happened to Sam that I unloaded the others. I have to say that I regret unloading my rainbow 7 string peanut. It was the one featured in Bassplayer Mag for so many editions.
