He might be on the right way, but I still think the body curves are kind of unnatural. Plus, single Jazz pickup = noise, the bridge is way off-center and angled the wrong way (Wish trademarks), and that control plate is simply awful.

Ewww, Chris Benavente would be throwing up right now if he saw that.

  7. He's improving, I'd say, but that bass can't be comfortable to play with the GIANT piece of wood on the upper side (you could probably do without a couple of inches there). The bridge is horrible, and the single jazz P/U can't be a good thing. The control plate bothers me less and less.

If he could do something less "Hey, look at me, I make funny lookin' basses!" and more "It looks odd, but plays good", we'd be in business.

LOL - beat me to it. Though I'm sure it's not what he meant, I'd bet playing a Wish is probably a comparable experience, at least in some ways.

  11. I tried a Wish once. It actually sounded really good! It just had way too many spots on the neck that couldn't be intonated properly.

Heh heh.. I like how xush put it:

"This bass is not meant to be setup.. it's meant to be set down!"

This in reference to the TalkBass "Buy a Wish" project bass.

    :D
