With eq boosted (new OBP-3 preamp), my volume knob doesn't cut volume completely!

I just had an Aguilar OBP-3 installed, and when I crank any of the EQ channels (particularly the bass), I can turn the volume all the way down and I still get a signal out of the bass. Did the tech do something wrong with the volume pot?

Definitely 'sounds' like a wiring issue. Contact Aguilar tech support. They can be very helpful.

did you wire your volume pot wrongly? it looks like youve put "hot" on the wiper, and "out" on one of the lugs. this will at most give you 500k resistance between "hot" and "out" on "0", which may not be enough to block all signals.

the correct wiring is "hot" on one lug, "ground" on the other, and "out on the wiper. this grounds your out on "0", definately no sound will come out.
