I have decided to go the modular approach. That way I can bring one small cab to rehearsals and bring two to gigs. I have a wizzy and have to decide if I should go for another wizzy or a schroeder mini. IME, with a clarus, the wizzy is a little sterile sounding. You can really hear the mids and highs, but so far I am not all that happy with the lows with my rig. Is the shroeder mini signifcantly bassier?

Would a sch mini and a wizzy be a good match?

Any other details that should be considered?

    :)

I think if I were you, I'd sell the Claris and buy a QSC RMX850.
The Wizzy you have would probably sound better with more power.
From what I hear, two Wizzy are really hard to beat.
I haven't heard any of the Mini and don't know how the Wizzy & Mini would match up.

Yeah, I have a feeling the clarus is the weak link. I may try out a sans amp driver on it. that should warm it up.

the clarus is enough for rehearsals. i am hoping it will be enough with two "mini" 12s like the wizzy or schroeder.

I have yet to try the wizzy with a more powerful amp and this will be the deciding factor if the clarus is the issue.
