Looks kinda cool! Apparently, only made in Japan in the mid-80s.
If it doesn't come in lefty, then it's nothing to me...
Fender Performer Bass-
1985-1986. Swinger-like body style, active electronics, various colors. $875-$925(us). prices are listed, low to high, excellent condition.
very nice looking bass!! thanks.
So far I'm the minority, but that's pretty fugly. But that takes backseat to sound and playabilty in my book, so it could be good.
I'd buy one before I got a P or J.
put bass here:
Those are ridiculously rare.
it kidna looks liek a fende -Bc Rich kind of thing. ugly
for a Fender... i would say it's ugly, but oddly intriguing !
I would kick it.
...kick it "old school," or just... physically kick it?
The horns kinda remind me of a Zon Legacy:
Ugly bass, awesome shape.
Some upgrades to the features would make that an incredibly awesome bass (neckthru, EMG DC35 pickups, active EQ, rear routed, differnet headstock)
And please, lose the vintage sunburst.
I agree.I think Fender have done some stuff that was before it's time therefore didn't catch on (DR Heartfeild basses, Prophecy etc.).This one I dunno!
Round it slightly, do a modern 2 x 2 headstock and maybe P/J?Like the shape, HATE the headstock!Probably sounded and played great!
I'd play it
I sort of want one..
If I bought one, it would be to see how far I could throw it.
I am almost cirtain that i have seen a strat version of that i think it was in one of the Bloc Party video's the singer has loads of strange guitars
Come on it doenst look that bad
It's kind of funny... the podunk town I grew up in (15,000 people) had a music store that had two of these basses back when I started... roughly 1987. So I actually know 2 guys that have these basses. They play and sound pretty darn good.
