    Ok, here's the original link...

If you click the image to the right, the big picture is this one...

Here's my own pic, but it was much easier to match it up looking at the big pic above and holding the bass, which is what I did.

I did a very close and careful comparison of the flame and especially the neck grain, pretty distinctive. IT'S THE SAME BASS!

I got a huge kick out of this. Hope you at least find it amusing! It's a GREAT bass. :)

I'm gonna get killed for this, but here goes: I talk to Dave Ellefson about twice a week, and he told be that there's going to be a Cirrus bolt on unveiled @ NAMM. Mum's the word! He also told me about some other new basses, but I shant go into that. I'm not trying to wreck my friendship.

SWEEET!!! I wonder if the Cirrus BXP's will ever come across the big pond, too. AFAIK, those still haven't hit stores, and I'd love to try one.

Damn! My GAS is hurting again!!!

    That is pretty cool.

I see where the dark, long, wood grain line just up from the volume knob and the dark wood grain spot (and the three short lines) by the bass tone control match up perfect.

Very difficult to get two absolute identical matching wood grains like that.

Very cool indeed. Do you have a copy of the NAMM poster? I'd get one if you can.

The USA Millennium, a very similar bass to the rumored forthcoming bolt-on Cirrus, did not sell well. (There are, however, various theories that have the Millennium bass (USA, not BXP) making a comeback at NAMM). "Cirrus" as a name now has now been well established and capitalizing on that makes sense to try to garner the bolt-on fans...

Yeah, but even more telling is the grain in the neck. Even tho it's not "figured" it's very distinctive and easy to match.

I'll see if I can find one, but that may be very tough at this point considering it's from 2001. It would be great, tho! :)

  13. That is pretty cool! Beautiful top you got!

Dave told me that the MIA Milleniums were discontinued.

They were discontinued about a year ago. The possible rebirth has been discussed on the Peavey forums...
