Well, finally I ordered a new bass.

Today I ordered an American Fender Jazz Bass V and put a downpayment to it. It should arrive to Iceland in about 3-4 weeks.

For the color, I ordered the three tone sunburst.

For those not familiar with the American series, these are the specs:
    Alder body.
Maple neck w/Pao ferro fingerboard, 9.5" radius. 20 medium jumbo frets, 34" scale length.
Chrome hardware, deluxe lightweight machine heads.
2 American Jazz Bass 5 string single coil pickups.
Graphite reinforced neck, rounded body shape, rolled fingerboard edges.
    Hard case included.

I was a bit torn between the standard MIM or the MIA because of the price difference, but after looking at the hardware specs, I came to the conclusion that I´m better off with the MIA in the long run. Better hardware, graphite reinforced neck, rounded body, rolled fingerboard edges, hardcase included etc.

The timing is also very good, since Mr.Taxman will give me a generous refund right about the time the bass arrives!

    Wohoo! :D
