Wolf S7-7 Seven String Bass Picked this up just over a year ago and I fell in love with the translucent green color that is strongly reminiscent of the Dingwall I had many moons ago. Having heard about them for some time I was honestly a skeptic – having owned one now my tune has totally changed. It’s a well-constructed instrument that sounds and plays like something costing much more and is a great value for the money. Not long after getting it the preamp died; like other basses I own, I installed a Tone Monster 3-band preamp and it came back to life, better than before. Also, in order to accommodate a thicker set of Kalium balanced tension strings, I installed Gotoh tuning machines. They work far better than the originals. The bass is in fantastic condition; there is a finish flaw (see pic, close up of body) on the surface of the body and very little play wear – I give it a 9 out of 10, possibly leaning towards 9.5. It has dual truss rods, the neck is straight and flat, and wide enough to land a plane on. It will come with Dunlop straplocks and the original Wolf gig bag. If the low F# string set/tuning doesn't work for you, let me know. With some new gear on the horizon and other 7 strings in the fold, I’m (reluctantly) parting with this one. Open to offers. Bass will be double-boxed (I’m pretty sure I have enough boxes) and packed well so that it arrives exactly as described. Shipped on your dime – I’ll get it packaged soon so that I can add box dimensions and weight for a more accurate shipping quote via your preferred shipper. My zip is 32065. Side note: FedEx burned me in the past so I am disinclined to use them, but ultimately it’s up to you.
