    From the May 1998 KISS online news archive:

    "ABC's PrimeTime Live last night (April 29th) featured a segment on Star Stowe, former Playboy centerfold and Miss February 1977, who was recently found murdered in Florida. Star was Gene's girlfriend in the late 1970's. Photos of her and Kiss appeared in her February 1977 photo spread in Playboy and were shown on Prime Time Live. Police in Coral Springs, Fla. believed she had been working as a street prostitute and had been a user of crack. According to the ABC report, Star's life had spiraled out of control since her high-flying days with Kiss and living in the Playboy mansion."

    I wonder if you went and interviewed all the women like Star Stowe who had posed nude or been in pornographic movies because they wanted to be a big star how many of them would regret it. I know they are adults and made their own choices, but the porn industry it is an evil exploitative world. I feel really sorry for her.

    Half of us would look past the picture and say "Hey that's an old bassman" The other half wouldn't notice

    yeah, that chick looks like a druggie of some sort, but that bass is amazing! the amp is great too, i got a used '73 Bassman w/original cabinet at Guitar Center for $350 on a Memorial Day Sale, new tubes and all!
