Hi everybody, I am thinking of selling my current bass and getting one of those nice wood finish ones. Only thing is that I use a pick when playing and I haven't seen any wood finish ones with a pickguard. Well, I have seen some but they look just awful. Does anybody know of any bass that has a wood finish and a pickguard that looks decent? Thanks.

  2. You don't really need a pickguard unless you're too agressive. It's cosmetic really.

These natural wood finishes are fairly common, and more basses than not have it as a finish option.(whether the stores near you carry them, I'm not sure)

What price range are you in?

anything up to about 500. I was also thinking of getting a 5-string.

    Gibson Rippers are pretty cool.

  6. Fender makes a Precision and a Jazz with a real nice natural finish. They both have pickgaurds and look really good. I played the natural P-bass this weekend and I loved it. It may very well be my next bass.

    Good Luck
