Wood for DIY board?

    I'm looking to build my own board. Nothing fancy, just gonna nail a couple of pieces of wood together in a pedaltrain-style configuration. What kind of wood would you recommend?

    I used 1/2in red oak ply for mine. I pocket screwed it together underneath. Much sturdier than nails.

    I just used regular, I believe it was half inch, plywood. I mounted in a frame of aluminum though so it most def strengthened the integrity of the board. The plywood is pretty strong regardless.
