Wood type in instrument?

    Hey, its me, the guy that doesn't know anything.

    i have yet another question. Is there a huge difference in the types of wood used for the body of the bass? for the neck? fingerboard? if so, what is the best one? if you could give me some info on this, and other stuff on the topic you feel like mentioning, that would be great.
