Yes! I finally got my money, and bought an Eden Metro Combo and Jeff Rader's gently used Zon Sonus Custom fretless 5!!!

    I am a happy man!

I shouldn't get GAS for at least a month! :p

    Yay!!! :D:D:D

    Happy Happy Joy Joy!

  2. Congrats, Emb. Do you recommend this type of activity for GAS?

    Works for me!!!

    :D

Seriously, I've gotta chill out for a while.

Starting last February, I bought a Fender Jazz Geddy Lee, a Pedulla Rapture J2 5 string, then the Eden Metro and Zon Sonus Custom.

Including the cases for the Fender and the Pedulla and sales tax, that is over $5000 in less than 12 months.

And last year was an off year gigging wise for both of my bands. Didn't make near that for my part.

We better start gigging heavily again, this habit is getting expensive!;)

Jeff, I finally got around to playing the bass after I talked to you.
    SWEET!

The blend controls are confusing me though. It sounds like rotated towards the neck, it solos the piezo, and towards the bridge, it cuts it off.

Is that right? Or am I crazy?

  10. congrads embellisher, that sounds like a very sweet setup.
i am trying to get a grip on my GAS also, at least untill i find a bigger place. i have more basses in my closet than clothes. i used to have them on stands but i got sick of tripping over them. as george carlin said "i have to get i bigger place so i can get more stuff." :D

  11. Jeff,

Rotating the piezo blend control clockwise (toward the bridge) solos the piezo. Counterclockwise blends in the PUs and reduces the piezo. All the way counterclockwise is only the PUs.

BTW, it was great doing business with you. You're a great guy. I'm glad my bass landed in good hands! :)

Doing good on the smileys, Jeff. :)

I guess I expected the controls to work in reverse order.

Does that mean that the magnetic blend know works >clockwise = bridge and >counterclockwise = neck?

Played the bass at church this morning, and got several compliments on the tone. Stayed in tune pretty good too, except for one or two lapses.

Yeah, the blend on my Pedulla, my Ibanez 506, and my Peavey Foundation all work the opposite way, so that's what I am used to. No biggie, I'll get used to it.

I may not have looked good, but I'll guarantee you that the bass did!

Sounded awesome through my old SWR Basic Black, too.

Man, this bass has a ton of tones! :D

I played with just the piezo tonight, it was just me and a piano, and the piezo sound fit perfectly. :)
