Woohooo.. New Morch bass nearly finished!

    Yesterday I received these photos from Johnny Morch, the luthier. WOW, Im completely blown away!.. I can't wait to pick this bass up first in april!

    Spec's:
    Redesigned Jazz-Bass body shape
    Alder body
    Maple Neck
    Elm fingerboard!
    Passive
    Custom Morch dualcoil PU with pan knop for single/humbucker
    Vol & tone stacked.
    Hipshot D-Tuner
    Midi bridge (we have not yet decided on which make)

    Again, Im really happy about this bass so far!!! Just wanted to share the pictures with you guys!

    I bet. But, hey, April 1st ain't far off at all.

    Yeah, usually, simple totally isn't my thing, but there's something about the extremely stripped-down look of that bass combined with fretboard wood. It's nice.

    Yes, it will be a fretless bass, unlined of course. The wood deserves it.. :smug:

    Very nice!

    I don't think that I've ever seen Elm used in a bass before.

    Johnny Morch has used it a couple of times with great results! Though my bass is the first fretless! It's elm with a golden/yellow'ish dye, and a epoxy coating.
    The bass need a final clear coat + electronics wiring.

    That's a cool idea. I only found out about it yesterday.. but hey, you have to learn somewhere. Really nice bass, btw. I can't wait to see the final pictures.

    Im "addicted" to the ramp.. My playing style is very dependent on the ramp actually.

    Sure! You learn new things everyday right?..

    I can't wait to see the bass in person when im picking it out in april!.. I'll keep you posted for sure!
