Work Release at the Eagle's Club, Marshfield 04/27/19

  1. so, last night we performed at a very special 40th wedding anniversary party. We were only a three piece last night as our female singer could not be here. Our guitarist played at the wedding reception 40 years ago with his family band. The couple was happy to have him perform with our band. Here's a few pics.

On the road to the gig, luckily not too far from home. One of Joe trying to figure out his phone.

The back door load in and one of the hall upon arrival.

We couldn't set up right away, so we unpacked the gear and left along the side until the meal was over. I really like the QSC stuff. Good clean sound, full and rich. The eagle eyes will see we still use an older analog A&H MixWiz 16:3 mixer. I know digital mixers are all the rage, but I got to say this mixer has never failed us and I'm still impressed with the strip EQ on it. I'm a big believer in KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)

The meal tonight, ham, beef, beans, coleslaw, and eggrolls. Strange mix but all good.

A few pics of the boys tonight. Overall a fun gig. Played many oldies as requested. The crowd was fun and danced. I think our guitarist was happy as it brought back memories of his family band. No selfies of me tonight, but I played my RIC 4003 to get in with the vintage vibe. You'll notice, electronic drums and no amps. Since I run sound, it makes my life so much easier.

    That's a casual gig.

  4. Yeah, those are nice one in a while. Not a lot of pressure that's for sure. I wish I would have snapped a few more band pics and a few shots of the dancers. Not surprisingly, the polkas were the big hits of the night. Literally filled the dance floor.

  5. Nice, surprised to see a Marshfield gig on here since that's only about 1/2 hour from me and where I grew up.

Looks like fun, nice review, except the bass player needs to be better represented in the photos! :smug:

Very cool deal, especially for the guitarist who played for the couple 40 years ago.

Nice gig. Electronic drums are nice to work with.
Wow, doing the gig 40 years later, that's amazing.
