Musician's Friend has the Workingman 1x10T cab for $99. I'm thinking of using it at home for practice. Is this a decent cabinet?

As a PS what do you think of the Workingman 2x10T for gigging in a jazz setting? It's $219 at MF right now.

    Thanks!

I run a WM's10 with the extension. It has always sounded great. A couple of them will handle 200 watts at a 4 ohm load and be highly portable. Get two and use one at home and add the other for bigger needs.

I have a WM-10 amp. When I bypass the preamp and use
a higher quality preamp (fodera, sadowsky, etc) it sounds
great. Lots of compliments. For $99. I think its a great
deal. With a good head, that box will sound better and
louder than you would expect. Off hand, I can't think of a
better sounding bedroom "practice" speaker box at that price.

I also bypass the preamp and use an ART tube mp and an ART levelar. It sounds really nice and it is perfect for bedroom jamming.

Where are you located? I might have a WM's 1x10 cab and the combo for sale.

I'm in Maine so I doubt it would be worth it. I'm only interested in the cab...I usually only buy new equipment, and for $99 that route seems to make a lot of sense. Thanks though! :bassist:
