Are they running the D-Live S7000 or S5000?
Been using these lately. Adding an octave during bigger choruses adds a lot. I use the drives for some of the bethel tunes we do.
How do you use the stomp?
I use it as the amp and hpf/lpf. I compress light/medium going to the console. Also I have a preset for the ehx microsynth sound for a few songs.
I can’t do the dirt sounds in the stomp, they just don’t do it for me yet.
For those interested, here is our set from church this morning. My chain was Lakland Skyline P (with Fralin stock wind) > Empress Bass Comp > Stomp (for dirt, Fullerton Nrm amp sim, and octave on King of My Heart) > Tone Hammer (TH was flat with a little upper mid cut + AGS engaged).
I'm tossing these out to all of you fine folks first... wanted to try some things, and although they're all great, they're just not for me...
The Caverns and Julia are brand spankin' new.. have had them a couple of weeks..
The Octavbre Mini, I bought here in the classifieds about three weeks ago... it's spotless too..
PM me for prices, or more photos if you're interested..
Finally got to upgrade my board. Just added the Element and made the switch to a Pedaltrain Novo 18. Fun stuff.
Had a quick recording session for online.
Man, that Ray is gorgeous.
That is a great looking board and that stingray looks amazing. Wish I had one in my Arsenal.
The updated board, running it all thru the Warm DI, The new piece is the Vintage Ultra, very impressed so far.
Going low tech today. Got the Fishnan recently here on TB at a great price (Thanks, @BLDavis!!) and decided to try it at the ol’ church gig. Had one a long time ago and loved it.
The TI Box is bypassed. Thought I’d see what the Fishman could do by itself. Sounds good in my ears. The livestream I’ll check out later.
Indeed! The figuring on the neck is crazy!
Not one to quote myself....
But honestly, the Fishman sounded really good. Very “direct” sound. Maybe too direct. Punchy and cut through even on our livestream. Which is 80% of the battle. Anything else is just icing.
Just an update for those keeping track at home. Thank you for your indulgence.
Today. Sounded great!
I’m hoping I didn’t make a mistake getting my Yamaha MODX instead of a Moog. I have gigs this month with it so I’ll find out. The Yamaha has great sounds, is easy to program and have patches available for live performance via a touch screen, but it’s not a Moog.
I've been using this as my main setup for all things these days. I don't think I've ever had better tone. Khan and the surgical ability to dial in tone of the Broughton Messenger is a match made in heaven.
Got my messenger in last week and I’m digging it! I had the mxr preamp and was planning on getting a broughton lpf/hpf but with the messenger I don’t need either. Just looking for a decent deal on a Cali. Also, I’m getting some noise but it’s most likely the daisy chain power supply so I’m upgrading that as well.
Holy cow...that bass is GORGEOUS!!
Best IEM tone I’ve had to date!
