A passive bass into a passive DI should work great. Are they trimming the gain at the console properly? Is the mic/line switch at the input set to mic? Maybe a pad being applied?

Ideally speaking, a passive bass should go into an active DI and an active bass into a passive DI. But that's more of a general guideline than a hard rule (I myself use an active bass into a Khan VTDI which is an active tube DI) and I think it unlikely that the volume problem is due to the bass or the DI in this case. As projectapollo said, something is likely attenuating your signal at the mixing console.

10 18" is bonkers. We are not in nearly as big a space though either. Gymnasium sized area.

Hey gang. Can someone direct me on a video or tutorial on how to run pedals into the stomp xls effects loop? I'm honestly not at all sure how effects loops work, but I'd like to take an OD pedal and run it as a block in my stomp. I couldn't find anything useful on YouTube. But I didn't really spend much time looking either.
It's been a while, but I had this saved to a playlist of videos I used when learning how to set up the stomp, so this might have what you're looking for:
So if it's just the one pedal, I run from stereo out-->OD-->left return? That's it? Does the pedal stay on the whole time?
Add a send/return block to your path on the stomp. That's what you will move around to represent the drive in your loop.
I'm slowly coming around to the idea of having an HX One to be my 'catch all' effect. I rarely use chorus and I'm using less and less octave. Plus, I'm liking more and more drive on my board. So...
I was thinking about having a bunch of different overdrives on my board and then bring a One to set up on the floor when needed. I've used the chorus once in the past 6 months. And I have the Moog now to cover the synth stuff.
I'd like to revisit the Capo again, but I don't know when that will be. It would be great if they came out with a drive pedal.

I think it's an underrated pedal given the midi control. You could do all kinds of cool things with something like the fender switchboard like change up placement in your chain depending on the effect you're using.

LOL. That was like 2 days ago. I can't be held accountable for things I said that long ago.
I have the Grizzly and the LVL which are two of the ones I will have on the board. Then I will probably use the Protein or Trickfish. So hopefully no new drives coming my way.
It seems that every time I read something about it, I see more and more what it can do. It's on the radar for sure.
