I don't know much about warwicks, but i've never heard of that warwick model, and i've never seen a warwick that looked like that. Looks like the seller will be removing it.
There is a Warwick Buzzard, you can see it in the Catalog, but it is not a production model anyway. Now on the other hand. Thats the most AMERICAN MADE WARWICK I have ever seen in my life, despite the fact that Warwick is a German Company.
that's what I was thinking. Hey, if I bid $1 for can he still cancel the auction and not let me have it for $1?
It used to be a production model, but since The Oz switched to Status, who redid the Buzzard model for him, they discontinued it. This is his new Buzzard: Angelfire seems to play tricks with me: This is the link to the pics: http://www.angelfire.com/tn/bbarrett1/page69.html
too late. I just bid $1 for it. Shipping is $20 so for $21 that bass couldn't be a finer foundation for lots and lots of stickers and a great tool to play some sick punk music.
That one's been around on ebay in the past. Almost as much of a crime as that 'Alembic Elan' that was on there a few months back.
I sent the guy an e-mail about it, since he asked in the ad to be notified. Got a reply back already: I TOLD him Status makes Buzzards now in my first message. He's a tad thick I'd say...
I've seen those Alembic Elans on ebay quite frequently. On the subject of ebay.. is anyone going to buy that abused old RD Artist on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1473662961 I was thinking of getting it and either getting a bridge or slapping the electronics into a Warmoth if the neck was in bad shape.. but I've dismissed that idea as too much work.
Man, that makes me cry. It's a shame to see a great bass like that bastardized. It's tempting to buy it and restore it. If I knew that the neck was OK and the preamp worked, I would do it.
That is the kind of thing that I would buy for $1 plus shipping, spray paint it black, and then use on the last song of the night. Maybe "Rock n' Roll all Night", and then at the end smash the thing into the stage just to freak people out.
