would anyone know how to fix this?

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by htd is hxc, Jun 17, 2005.

  1. the treble knob on my schecter stiletto diamond series elite 4 is incredibly wobbly. all the other knobs are tight and won't budge. i've never really dealt with a bad knob, would anyone know how to fix it? it still works fine, it's just starting to annoy me.

  2. I don't know that model, but does it just slide on, or is there a little allen key screw that can be tightened?
  3. it is the knob itself or could the pot be loose?
  4. If it's the knob, tighten (if possible) or replace, if it's the pot, replace.
  5. If it's the pot, usually there is a nut that is holding it on and that can be tightened by taking off the knob and doing so. There is also the allen key screw on the side usually and if there isnt and you can pop it off and there is a split down the center of the pot, then you can open that up more w/ a flat head screw driver and then slide the knob on and it will be tighter.
  6. All of the above.

    TB advice in action :hyper:
