I'm trying to put together the ultimate bass rig while I still have some spare loot :bassist:

    So far it's:

    92 Warwick Dolphin Pro I 4
Jerzy Drozd Fretless Legend 4 (being made;thanks LAG!)

    Alembic Super Filter>
    Summit Audio TD 100 DI>
    QSC Power Amp
    Accugroove 12" Cab

(I'm not as rich, or as crazy, as it might seem, I've been lucky, persistant and haven't paid list on anything but the Drozd!)

I tune in Fifths (A E B F#) so I get a nice low, beefy tone, but I'm feeling like the MEC's in the Dolphin don't push much air on the high end. They're clear but something seems to be missing-I love the dark growl of a Warwick, but it seems to always be boomy. I'm still learning how to work with the Alembic SF, but I'm thinking about getting some Ducans or some Bartolini's.

    So the question is:

With this kind of set up, or with Warwick Dolphins, does anyone have any good suggests on replacement pick ups, or do I just need to spend more time with the Alembic SF?

And does anyone know if the MEC dual Jazz is the same size as a Music Man Pick Up?

Thanks for any and all suggestions and Happy New Year!
