i was just looking through speaker cabnets, and i stumbled across some PA cabnets. these sound just like normal bass cabs, but i didn't know, would they work or not if i were to plug them into the external cab. jack on my combo amp?

you'll get a real hi-fi sound, but the treble of the bass usually tend to make the horns explode so be careful with that...
  3. That's hard to say without more info on the cabs. Most PA's today use a bi-amped sub/topbox arrangement. The topboxes, while they may contain a 15" driver, generally don't have the cubic feet needed for deep bass and only go down to about 55HZ. The subs only contain 15's or 18's and are not full range.
