Sure it would work. Just post it somewhere where drummers hang out.

You might also want to add how many people are currently in the band, what instruments they play, etc. Finally, what's your goal, to play gigs locally or try to make a career ot of it? No sense wasting time on people with different goals.

  3. Thats why I put my phone number on there... I didn't have a lot of space on paper (typed in large print).

    as for goals:

    J A M E Y says:
you know what would be cool?
    T®I©KY ®I©KY says:
    what
    J A M E Y says:
to go on tour in a ratty old van
    J A M E Y says:
and play to half empty clubs and thigns like that
    T®I©KY ®I©KY says:
    you wanna do that?
    T®I©KY ®I©KY says:
    I would do it
    T®I©KY ®I©KY says:
    Im up for it
    J A M E Y says:
I would do it in a heart beat
    T®I©KY ®I©KY says:
    no sh*t man

So I guess when I'm telling him how far I want take it, I should just say "As far as we can" instead of "I want to tour in a ratty old van"? :D

    Should work just fine.

Now, where exactly do drummers hang out, so you can hang it in the right places?

According to Eric Cameron, the zoo would be a good place to start.

Just put some bananas around it and they'll see it.

post it in music stores, and school.i'd say post it everywhere you can.the more who see it,the better.or say like "email me or call me for auditions"and hold a big audition day or something like that.

personally,i wouldnt want to play with someoen i didnt, but i guess this is a good oppurtunity to meet new people.good luck and hope you find a good drummer.

  9. Good musicians in my age group are hard to find, and finding a good drummer is another story all together, so we're forced to look around.

I'm putting them up around a local college and some music stores... and I'm going to see if there are any drummers who give lessons at the music stores, so I can get them to pass the message on to the more advanced students.
