Would you consider this fuzz or distortion?

    Sorry i should have made this, is this fuzz, or is this distortion, not is it some form of clipping.

    i would call that a fuzz, since it doesn't have those rich harmonics over the note that i tend to attribute to distortion
     
  5. I'd say a really synthy fuzz. Maybe look into an MXR Blowtorch to get something similar. Or go into something like an EHX Bass Micro Synth on some specific setting.

    Thanks, but I am not looking to get that sound, rather to see what most TB'ers think on the subject of fuzz vs. distortion.

    That's a fuzz, most definitely.

    Distortion usually has more definition and grit, less of a "fuzz" (funny, that might be the reason behind the name...)

    yeah.. sounds like more of a fuzz than a distortion...

    although I can get a similar tone with my Hematoma.

    +alot thats a Fuzz.
    I like distortion more than fuzz. Deluge of Sound, good call on your clip. Nice tone.
