Would you put cat gut strings on a $5,000 super-bass ?

    It costs about $500 as an optional extra on these Sei basses, but does anyone know if any other brands use this "non-magnetic", "non-piezo" technology?

    I think I'm getting infa-red GAS :( .

    for a while there were a lot of lightwave branded basses on Ebay.

    a lot of mixed response on the sound. using light as a transducer is interesting. Does it capture the "sound" of the bass or is it a digital representation?

    btw, Sei basses are beautiful!
