Supposing you knew without a shadow of a doubt that a member of your own family or indeed a partner had committed a serious offence, would you report them to the police?

Inspired by a story I've just read where a woman reported her fiancé for sexual crimes.

Here is a thread concerning how TBers would handle a criminal "spousal" family member.

    Probably not.

  8. That's a tough one. Way to many circumstances to consider. I'd love to stand here with my morals and righteousness and say I would uphold the law no mater what, but that would be lie if it meant I were to lose someone I love and nothing good would come of it.

If that person I loved turned out to be some physico than that's another story.

Murder, Rape, Harassment yes, being drunk and hitting a fence well maybe, running nude in public sport event no.

  12. Well, I witnessed my dad steal a spoon from a restaurant...

So, I guess the answer is no.

  13. I think it also depends on if you could be prosecuted as an accessory/enabler/etc as well.

    I like turtles.
Relative by blood, it would depend on what it was. If it was something that I could see myself doing, or have done, then no. If it was something that I couldn't ever see myself doing, then yes. Relatives by marriage, yes in a heartbeat, whatever it was. But then again I don't really like any of my relatives by marriage.

Nope. Much more funny to watch things play out. Plus you might be able to make a movie about it.

If it was a serious offense, then yes. Otherwise, I couldn't be bothered
