I wonder how those guys do in a game. I mean, having a good shot isn't everything, not by a long shot. I doubt most of that stuff was done on the first try, though, I'm sure they have skills none the less. Very neat, I love B-ball trickery.

That was VERY cool and som fantastic shots, just to reinforce what someone else already said, I'm sure there were 10 misses for every shot on there (at lease) and also if you look the camera has one of those super wide lenses on it, so when that basket looks like it's 30-40 feet away, it's really probably 8-10 feet. Watch the skate board batting shot and you'll realize that he didn't swing that hard and fast to send the ball NEARLY as far as it looks.

But it's still a great set of wild shots that I could never pull off.

isn't this from a DC shoes ad?

those fish-eyed lenses make those shots EVEN MORE X-TREME! :bassist: :bassist: :bassist:

edit: yeah, yeah it is. they pulled out the skateboards at the end. those were some extreme allie-jump shots... or something. :bassist:
  9. You mean ollie? That's when you stomp the back of the board which launches you straight up without needing a ramp. Not that I'm a skateboarder, but I used to play a lot of Tony Hawk Pro Skater on Playstation :)

Those are some impressive shots indeed, but most of it does seem to be luck and trial-and-error type stuff, especially the blind shots and multi-bank shots (wall-floor-basket, etc).

Still, I could never do anything like that. :rollno:

I'll delete my thread then since this one has more posts.
  12. That was pretty cool, although you could definitely tell that the lens made the shots look longer than they were - long shots require a bit of physical exertion, but those guys were flinging the rock around like there was no gravity in the place.

    Even still, I was impressed.

Is anyone here disappointed that the dog didn't try and make a basket?

Now that's just foolish, everyone knows dogs can't play indoor basketball.

That would take like hours to get...Jesus...if I had enough free time, I'm sure I could do it (same with anyone's not like they actually made all those shots consecutively).
  17. Remember that Mcdonalds add with Michael Jordan and Larry Bird about ten years ago?

First thing I thought of when I saw the clip.

'cept MJ and Larry called their shots.

    These guys are clearly amateurs.

    Neat clip.
