You don't find anything unsettling about a bass with almost 30 year old strings on it?

Not if they stay in tune. I'll bet they sound and play freaking awesome.

My guitarist has a telecaster in that color. I didn't like it until I saw him play it. It just looks different when it's sitting by itself.

My uncle has a 1963 precision bass that he bought during his tour of duty with the Army. It still has the original strings on it. This is the bass that I learned to "walk" on...

The GC on 14th st. has that bass. It might be righty, though. But MY GOD is it beautiful, and I really dislike Fender P Basses, too. Jeese, that color is just ridiculous.. Im pretty sure the onethere is selling for ~1500 give or take 200. 5k is an awful lot, but I guess if you dont live near someone who's selling one of these, it might be hard to track down.

in my opinion antigua is a pretty sweet finish. you just don't see it much.

  18. if those strings are flats you can leave them on for a really really really long time... alot of people even think they sound better with age.
