Some of those are really good. Others well...
He obviously has talent but you can see how f'd up he was on some of that stuff
Hmmm...I think drugs are stupid, so it's kinda tough to be impressed by the behavior and thought process. However, some of his doodles were okay. I'd never pay a dollar for them, but I'm no collector.
As self destructive as it is, it is quite interesting and a cohesive series that gives you a glimpse of the various induced mental states. Quite the commentary on our society and it's vices. Actually one of the better concepts and (unfortunately) executions of concept that i've seen in the art world as of late.
The Computer Duster must really jack you up. It just looks like scribbles.
i can't laugh when drugs are involved ;-)
Exactly. Couldn't agree with you more.
some of those where drawn in the hospital obviously being treated for overdose. some of those were anti psychotics and treatments for bipolar and OCD and hyperactivity disorders.
I'm surprised the computer duster one is as good as it is.
The bath salts picture is particularly frightening.
He's admitted to brain damage from the project.
Nicotine Gum, really?
Cocaine is a hell of a....
Actually, judging by the pictures, Bath Salts are a hell of a drug.
Interesting concept. Unfortunately, very difficult to draw any useful conclusions, or even inferences.
To be absolutely blunt, I think this guy is an incredible liar. No way would some of these drawings ever exist if he would've been under their influence.
And the kicker for me was that Nicotine gum one. And then there's the kid drawing. And the meth one that was really detailed. I mean, come on...
I'm not typically the type to doubt everything I read online, but this has a huge BS sign in red letters flashing all over it. I don't buy it for a second.
Remind me to never take bath salts.
I had a good friend in school who did far better work than this guy under the influence of all kinds of drugs. There is nothing particularly impressive about any of these pieces other than the concept. Considering that Charlie Parker, Jimi Hendrix and many other great musicians created their greatest work under the influence of drugs its not that hard to believe that a guy made some mediocre drawings.
Ok the one at the top of the page is awesome.
