This just made me go WOW!
That's personal taste -- but the spalted / white is really amazing. It's like a movie with great special effects. "That was a bad movie, but remember when Johnny turned into a ... ?!"
Not ugly in the least (but not a very flattering photo ether...). Brubakers are one of my all time favorites, and that one has it all, Semi-hollow, White Woodburst on Spalt, Spalted board, single-cut, I WANT, I WANT!!!!
We'll ingore the source of the photo....
great bass at the wrong location...
I like it, although it does look as if someone painted it white and violated it with a welding torch.
After looking at it again...I kind of like it... Bah! I don't know what to think of it...
I don't know about wow... more like ugh IMO. Just doesn't do anything for me.
I don´t like the pickups color. They don´t match the rest of the bass
Blackbird, your post is impressing me:
Portuguese / English signature
doesn't even look like a real picture to me......and I agree about the pickup covers.
...and I can ride my bike real fast! Grazie.
I agree on the pickups. I think luthiers have caught on to the fact that bassists are the only musicians who'll buy an instrument made out of otherwise "ugly" pieces of wood.
on topic- that s one crazy finish but doesn't float my boat, I like my spalted without cream topping
If it weren't so white in the middle, it would look very good.
I like this one better.
legal, terra de suingue, tou querendo ir ai faz tempo pra conheçer, um abraço!
sorry for this interruption, on with the topic
What is goin on there? Ive never seen a finish like that before, anyone care to explain?
