Hey, I had to rack it up and wring it out.

OK, so compared to the WT-300 it replaced, here's how it's different:

    1. More knobs
    2. More buttons
    3. More lights
    4. More outputs
    5. More power
    6. More headroom, and
    7. More of that incredible Eden tone.

Yes sir, Eden's problem with the WT-550 was god's way of making sure I ended up with the right amp. The bi-amp feature really gives a lot more control over what goes where. Then, talk about HEADROOM. Holy moly! And all those lights! It looks a lot like a doggone xmas tree on the front of that thing.

Then, to top it off, I re-strung my 55-94 for the first time since I got it four years ago. As much as I'd like to tell you that it blew me away and sounded like a brand new bass, it didn't. It's a little bit brighter, so it's gonna take me a couple gigs to take the edge off and get my tone back. I think I'll go about six or seven years to my next set. Anyway, it sounds fabulous through the new amp. BTW, I'm running it through a D-210XLT over a D-115XL. With the bi-amp thing, I can turn that danged 15 WAY down. Cool.

I could say something about you saying such great things about the tone you are getting running this with a 115XL, but I wont.

Im just glad to hear you found such a great amp!:)

    Peace

I've never made it a secret that I have a 15, but I never take it out of the house. Actually, a 15 can fill in a little low mid muff when you need it, and can sound OK, as long as you put enough tens with it. Sorry to let some of you down.

Ive always known you had that since its in your profile, but anyways its not important.

Have you tried the XST series. To my ears, the 210XST would make a killer low end cab when paired with the rest of your rig. Better than an 15 thats for sure.

    Peace

Thanks, Muttluk. But I really wanted a WT-550.

  20. So you're saying you DO enjoy the muff monster at home from time to time, but you won't let it out of the house... tee hee! :D

Hey! Bad mind, get out of that gutter! Anyway, congrats on the new amp, Munji. I'm sure it'll serve you very well until the next wattage increase :)
