Dang, I am having a hard time deciding on this.

Right now I am playing standards/jazz standards but also plan on using it for blues gigs.

Currently the cabs will be an Epifani UL110 and an Aguilar GS112 but other cabs are in my future. But for now just the 110 and/or the 112.

    Any suggestions?

    TIA.

  3. Hey There Lowtonejoe,
Get the Little Mark II. Mark Bass amps are truly the best kept secret in bass gear. They have to be among the lightest amps on the planet. They have great, tight sound and plenty of power as well. What else do you need? Oh yeah, they are very affordable. Eden stuff is fantastic as always, but a little over priced, that's what I think anyways. :bag:

    Cheers,

I'd go 550 over 405 just for the better eq section...

How does one go about ordering Markbass products in the US. I can't seem to find any US dealers on their website. Anyone?

Markbass is very hard to find in the US, I just went through this dilema, and ended up catching a good deal on a WT550. I absolutely love it. It's heavier than the little mark (eden weighs in at 20lbs), but with the carrying bag it's easy to take around, and also is very loud for the wattage. I run mine into a 4 ohm GS212, and it had headroom for days. One word that comes to mind is 'responsive'. It is very responsive across the whole frequency spectrum, and the tone can go from clean hi-fi, to full on tube warmth. I play in a rock project, and also 2 jazz bands and this does well for all of them. Hope that helped :)

    Hmm...o.k.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. right now it is definitely between the LittleMark II and the WT550.

Tomorrow (or the next day I will get ahold of someone at ClubBass and see if the units they sell are 110v and if they will ship to the US. Shipping from Canada can't be that bad.

I too have had little luck finding a US supplier but I'm willing to buy direct from Italy if I have to! That is if I decide on the LMII.

    :D

I own a WT-330; same EQ as the WT-405. I prefer it over the WT-550. Not only easier to dial in, but less of the over-the-top tube-ness of the WT-550.

    My opinion.
