This is an awesome bass that I absolutely don't need. I guess I got caught up in the excitement after watching the attached video. I have a bunch of 5-String PJ basses already and this one has a bit tighter string spacing than I'm used to, so it's for sale now. Just string with a new set of Elixir Nanoweb strings. I got it with Thomastik-Infeld flats on it and will include those as well. Other than minor pickguard scratches, this thing looks spotless to me. Plays great, sounds great, looks great. Includes original branded gig bag. Previous owner said 9 lbs 9 oz on his postal scale.

Specs can be viewed here: XP Series - Basses - Guitar & Bass

    Price includes shipping CONUS

Does the tone knob work when the bass is in passive mode like a traditional p?

Thank you. I’m really tempted to pull the trigger, but I’ve never had the chance to play one of these before. No stores around me seem to have them.

I’ve owned three Xotic basses - had a 4-string Jazz that was totally awesome but neck just too thin for me. Had a 5-string Jazz in an unusual color that I didn’t need and sold actually both of them here on talkbass. Of the three I’ve owned, this P5 is my favorite. Just really looks, plays and sounds great. Just way too many 5s right now so gotta thin the herd or I’d keep it.
