I'm looking to switch the fretted neck on my Yamaha 5 string to a fretless...does anyone know how to go about obatining a fretless neck for this project?

    Thanks

Well, you could always try de-fretting it, and if it's a bolt-on neck which I'm assuming it is (even though it's bad to assume ANYTHING). If it is in fact a bolt-on neck, and you screw-up, you could still buy a frettless neck. The only downside to this strategy is if you were planning to keep the fretted neck around as a spare in which case, my advice would be useless :-D.
