Yamaha BB 1025x or Musicman Stngray 5

    Currently playing in a third wave ska band and looking to get a good 5 string. From searching i found the BB 1025x and stingray5 to my liking. I can either get the yammy new or a stingray 5 used for how much my spending budget is. Opinions needed on which one of the the two i should get .......Go!

    Both good basses, but I think the stingray is one of the definitive instruments in ska

    i have a 1024 (its essentially the 1025 but a 4 string version and without that pick-guard) one thing i can about the 1025 that its a very high output bass and is quite rich in tone thanks to the alnico 5 p-bass pickup and the ceramic J pickup. the only down side to the 1025 is that it doesnt have an individual volume knob for each pickup so its either just P bass, both pickups or just J pickup so you cant do further blending options to get your ska sound.
