Yamaha BB414 CX?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Kink Rimson, Apr 24, 2009.

  1. Does anybody here know what the 'CX' signifies on the Yamaha BB414 bass? The CX is about £50 more expensive but the specs appear the same.

    Anyone?

  2. From what I've been able to find out, it designates that the bass has a pick guard. Otherwise, it's exactly the same spec as a standard BB414. AFAIK, these are only available in Europe and the far east at the moment. They don't show up on either the Yamaha US or Yamaha Canada websites.

  4. That's the X, I'm asking about the CX which is visually identical to the standard model, and from what I can tell, the specs appear the same, but still there is this price difference.
