Yamaha BBN5L 5 String - Anybody played one?

    I've played the righty version of that bass before. Yamaha necks always feel good to me (I like P-Bass and MM necks) and the action (when set up right) is where I like it...

    Never plugged one in though, so can't comment on the tone...

    If I was looking for a new one, I'd buy that. Can't beat the price! :)

    I've had 3 Yamaha basses and they were all good, well made, great playing basses. That is a great price, I'd buy it.
     
  3. Go for it man, that's a good bass. I've got a righty active version, but it's basically the same bass, and it's great.
     
  4. MarleyG, BUY IT! I have a BBN5 II, which looks like the same bass. Mine is a righty, though. A quick summary: very Fender like look, feel and tone. The tone is much more growly than a stock Fender, though. I paid $399 for mine. For $199, I think you should jump on that one.

    I've played alot of them when I worked @ Sam Ash & they're very nice basses & for $199!!!! Great price.
