I posted incorrectly last time. Does anyone know if Warmoth necks will fit Yamaha basses? Spicifically the BBN4
    Thanks

  2. don't think so- the BBN4 has 24frets.

Warmoth standard necks have 21frets with the 21st on a fretboard extension.

warmoth gecko necks have 24frets, but they have a different neck pocket design, and AFAIK only in 5 and 6string designs.

Thanks. Any thoughts on a good inexpensive bass that I can use the body and use a warmoth neck. I play lefty and the yamaha was just a good buy.

Check out the dimensions of Carvin replacement necks. I believe they are 21 frets.
