One of my guitarist buddies just gave me a Yamaha DI-10M II distortion pedal. It has control for Tone, Distortion, and Output level. Anybody else ever try one of these?

Anyways, I tried it on my bass and its sounds pretty good. It didn't suck the low end out like some dist. pedals I have tried. The Distortion control didn't have much of a range but it is still very useable. I think this pedal is a keeper!

Hopefully I can upload some samples to the Pedal Sample Thread (anybody remember that?) along with my Ibanez Weeping Demon wah.

I'm really interested in that. Did you actually put the sample in there? Can you link it, please?

I think this song has been recorded with that pedal and a Precision Bass into a JC-120 and I love that tone! Does that sound familiar to you?

If it's really that pedal, it must be a pretty farty sound.
