yamaha nut

  1. i have an old yamaha RBX370a and the other day i was practicing before a performance at a festivaland the string snapped

    nafter removing the snapped string i realized that the nut had snapped too

    i knew where too get strings from but this is a discontinued model and so im worried about wether or not ill be able to get a new nut for it

    if anybody knows anywhere online or in the uk that has a replacement nut for this model of bass could you please let me know

    that is the only bass i have and its like a child to me please help

    Don't sweat. Your local tech/luthier can make you a nut from a more durable material like synthetic bone (tusq) or micarta. The good news is that a properly cut nut will actually improve the playability of your bass and help it to stay in tune better. Go seek out the best tech in your area and find out what he/she charges. It shouldn't be too expensive.
